“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.” (2 Corinthians 10:4-6)
I saw wave after wave of Gods glory crashing into earth. The force was powerful – a shockwave reverberating through the planet followed by a sonic boom. I saw dry soil surging up from the ground like it had been shackled for long enough, ready for freedom. Sons and daughters rose in response to the sonic boom. It was a sound perceived in the spirit. Those who had ears to hear knew what it meant. It was the arrival of the Lord’s outstretched arm. It was time to make war – victorious war. Heaven was touching earth with God’s power, strategy, and alignment. It was the weapons of warfare, mighty in God coming into agreement with His greatest warriors. Divine alignment set aside to rise and fight… and win. To take back what the enemy stole, to take back what belongs to God!
In the old season you learned endurance and obedience. In the new season you are ready to punish disobedience.
For many of you, you have gone through your Job season. The north winds and freezing rain came down hard against you for years. You learned steadfast endurance and perseverance. You learned to stay the course and trust God. He was all you had in that season, so you grabbed hold of Him and wouldn’t let go. You could have given up. Many have, but you didn’t. Now you have an unshakable foundation of faith, and… you are anointed!
The connection between Job and David
Everything and everyone Job loved was taken from him by Satan (Job 6:1-22). In like manner, everything and everyone David loved was taken from him by the Amalekites at Ziklag (1 Samuel 30).
The transition from Job to David
Job had to endure and remain in faith. David needed to fight with his faith.
The battle belongs to God
In this new season you have become a skilled warrior like King David. Ziklag means “the pressing.” God is pressing down on you, stirring your hearts. Passion and zeal rise up in the place of great pressing for in this place He is showing you how great the need is. This is where partnership takes place. This is the place where God is saying “pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue.” It’s time to rule and reign in partnership with King Jesus. David won every battle as long as He remained tethered to God, for he knew the battle always belonged to Him.
Rise up sons and daughters, answer the call. It’s time to take back what the enemy has stolen.
If this word hit home for you, please pray this prayer with me…
Father, I come to you in Jesus’ name. Thank You God, for pursuing me. Thank you for not letting up in the last season of my life. Thank You for the deep work you have done. Thank you for not passing me by. Give me eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to perceive. I want to know what You are doing! I want to fight alongside you and ride the glory waves. The battle belongs to You! Bind my heart to You, always. I am your bond servant Lord. I have been crucified with Jesus. Make faith complete within me. I want Your kingdom to come. I want Your will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven, in Jesus’ name… Amen.
